Greetings!
My name is Sadie Lou, I am the owner of LolliShops.com, a brand new niche marketplace that opened in November of 2008.
We advertise in magazines that compliment the cottage style look we embrace. Look for our full or half page ads in Romantic Homes, Somerset Life, Somerset Studio and Where Women Create.
Over the course of time, LolliShops.com has been on a journey of evolution-trying to figure how the best way LolliShops.com can be of service to curators of Vintage Treasures, Creators of Cottage Style Decor and Crafts and Vendors of Artistic Supplies.
We also want to be a shopping destination for lovers of the Cottage Style influence.
We have recently begun the transition of being a stand alone marketplace with its own shopping cart-to being a referral service. Our goal is to be a Lighthouse; a beacon of light, highlighting the very best handmade, vintage and supplies in a specific niche market. Q. Who created LolliShops.com
An artist named Sadie Lou Who had a dream of like minded artisans being able to sell their creations in one, fabulous marketplace! Sadie Lou Who started selling her creations online in May of 2007. She became frustrated in trying to promote her glittery, fancy, girlie artwork in a sea of modernity. Soon, Sadie Lou Who realized she was not alone! There were lots of "Cottage Style" vendors out there that were feeling out of place...LolliShops.com was launched in November of 2008 and we have been growing and improving ever since!

Q. How do I shop LolliShops.com?

We also just released 12 NEW CATEGORIES
There is also a keyword search engine top left corner of the
home page. You can put in words like "beach" or "collage".
When you see an item you wish to purchase, please click the pale green “add to cart” button and you will be redirected to another page for purchasing. Each vendor on LolliShops has their own store policies. Please take note of those. LolliShops.com is your gateway to quality, beautiful Cottage Style listings on those huge craft malls like Etsy.com. We also will direct you to a seller’s personal selling venue like Sugar*Sugar

We are also a juried marketplace maintaining a certain level of quality and a specific "look". You won't find Modern Goth here-but you might find, glitter, vintage lace, timeless jewelry, romantic photographs, Victorian Inspired artwork, "shabby chic", Parisian influence, etc.

Q. How do I apply to be a vendor on Lollishops?
Right here!

Q. I was rejected by Lollishops. Does that mean I can NEVER apply again?
Absolutely not. If you find that you have improved in an area that maybe was lacking before or you have changed the style of the items you carry, we will always welcome repeat applications.

Q. I was accepted and have something new I want to create, do I need to reapply?
If your new line or collection is within the same look and feel of what you were accepted for, No, you do not have to reapply. If you are moving into a whole new style, please be considerate of Lollishops’ cohesiveness and audience and perhaps a review of your new work would be appreciated. If you want to open another shop, please reapply for that shop.

Q. What does “froufrou” mean anyways?
The definition of froufrou has something to do with the way Lollishops uses the word. Froufrou means, “Fussy or showy dress or ornamentation”. Lollishops is a place where froufrou reigns supreme! Unlike most handmade marketplaces that have a modern, young, trendy preference—Lollishops embraces the traditional, timeless, sweet influences of Cottage Style, Victoriana and the whimsies of a Candy Shoppe. Our vendors and shoppers enjoy polka dots, pink, glitter, ruffles, crepe paper, scrapbooks, ephemera, fabric, candy stripes, luxury, rose gardens, tea time, bubble bathes, babies, whimsy, gingerbread, hair bows, lace, pretty-pretties, fuss, sea shells, sparkle, notions, nostalgia and more...
