We've been painting cakes and vintage inspired bakery art for a long time and the idea for this painting has been baking in our creative ovens all the while. Inspired by the sleek, practical, and yet indulgently decorative menu boards of vintage bakeries and classic Paris patisseries, we created this series of paintings which are now available as ready to frame matted prints and on distressed wooden plaques.

We love to infuse the color black into a sweet pastel color palette...it's a very grounding and sophisticated look. Our aim was to give the look of a slate backdrop to our 100% original sweets paintings and handpainted lettering.
